Our Interviewing Process

Here at the PPF, we pride ourselves on having a transparent and collaborative interview process. We are keen to not only understand your current skills and experiences and how they relate to the vacancy you have applied for but to take time to answer your questions and queries.

Typically our interviews are a mixture of technical and competency/values questions that help us build a picture of how you could make a contribution to the success of the PPF. For some roles we may include additional elements such as online testing, role plays or presentations but we will always ensure that you receive full guidance and support. If you are invited to attend an interview, we will send you a confirmation email with supporting documents that will assist and guide you in your preparation. CV Verification and Background Checking

Due to the highly sensitive nature of our work, referencing is a key element of our recruitment process and therefore, we partner with a referencing expert – CV insights.

CV insights have a simple to use and secure portal that allows candidates to upload documents in a variety of formats. Their skilled and diligent customer service advisors will work with both you the candidate and us, the future employer to ensure that your referencing process is as smooth and as quick as possible.

As part of our referencing process we will look at a number of elements including right to work in the UK, previous work history, academic and if appropriate, professional qualifications. We also ask all candidates to participate in financial credit checks and a criminal record check. Resolutions Case Handler

Salary: £28,675 - £29,841

Sharepoint Developer

Salary: £49,000 - £53,000 per annum

Location: Croydon

Hello, we're the Pension Protection Fund. We protect the futures of millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers go bust and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised. We’re looking for a Sharepoint Developer on an initial 12 months fixed-term contract to join our team, reporting to the Head of Development. The Developer will work as part of the development and testing team to support, maintain and develop Sharepoint based applications for the PPF’s business needs. Typical responsibilities include maintaining applications, documenting and analysing key business processes, writing code in a clean and scalable manner, and assisting in migrations aligned to transformation programmes. We require an IT professional who has coding experience within the Microsoft stack with significant experience in a software development and delivery environment. We expect applicants who apply to have a strong understanding of Sharepoint 2010/2013/2016/Online, Microsoft CRM 2013 & 2015 and Microsoft SQL, with demonstrable successes working in an agile development environment. Any Microsoft Certifications or an IT-related degree would be desirable. The position provides an opportunity to contribute to PPF’s strategic direction within the technology function; helping deliver an exceptional service that is fit for purpose.
