What we offer

6.4 Weeks Starting Holiday

Every employee receives a minimum of 6.4 weeks holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, which rises with length of service. There are also further opportunities to accrue or supplement holiday, including flexi-time days off, and making the most of summer/winter operating hours where applicable.

Flexi Time

We believe that a flexible approach to work is the way towards productivity. Many of our office-based staff benefit from our generous flexi-time scheme, allowing them to accrue time by working longer hours where needed, and then use that time to supplement holiday, with whole days off, leave from work early or start their days late, at their leisure.

Our customer service department also benefit from working summer/winter hours, which allow them to take an additional three days off work in the summer months.

Positive working environment

We want to be the best for our staff that we can be. We listen to ideas at Round Table meetings, encourage integration and open communication across our large company, and are always looking for ways we can improve and help each other more.

Overtime

Many of our Warehouse, Distribution, Quality Control and Production staff are able to gain monetarily by working overtime where required at increased rates, providing a supplement to their pay.

Pension Scheme

Our employees are given the option to join the Group’s pension scheme, which is a Standard Life Group Personal Pension Scheme under which employees have their own Personal Pension Plan.

The Group will match employee contributions up to 5% of basic salary.

Staff Recommendation Scheme

When career opportunities arise at Stovax & Gazco, you may know someone that you believe to be the perfect fit. If you refer someone for a permanent role and they successfully complete their three-month probation period, the company will award you £250 as a gesture of thanks for your personal introduction.

Life Assurance

We know life is precious, and we know that trying to take care of finances when a loved one has passed away is a difficult task. At Stovax & Gazco, should an employee pass away, we have a life assurance plan that pays a benefit to your chosen family members on the event of death.

Free Eye Test

We know eyes are invaluable. That’s why we provide vouchers for eye health and eyesight tests for our VDU users at regular intervals, also offering support for the cost of lenses and frames, and prescription safety glasses.

Cycle to work scheme

Our cycle to work scheme is there to encourage our staff to choose a greener form of transport, and to take advantage of the tax rules currently in place to hire a bicycle at a substantial discount compared to buying one outright.

Staff suggestion scheme

We encourage company improvement, and who better to hear from than the staff we employ? Our staff have the ongoing opportunity to suggest improvements to the company that have a positive benefit to us all, whether that is clearer filing systems, or reductions in product costs. To reward forward-thinking suggestions, we offer a cash incentive.

Training

Our team are talented, knowledgeable, and always keen to provide training. Whether this is learning to drive a forklift, learning the ins and outs of our products, or enrolling in a management course, there is structured training for each employee.
